The PVC advertising banner remains the most effective display for dressing a large surface visible from a distance: a building facade, construction site scaffolding, a shipping container repurposed as a communication display, or the back wall of a stand at a trade show. This range is designed for businesses, developers, event organisers and retailers looking to fill space with a strong message, without the rigidity constraints of a panel or a structure. Built to withstand outdoor conditions, it comes in several materials and finishes depending on how long it will be displayed and the fixing method available on site. Choosing the right type of banner depends above all on its final use: a permanent facade doesn't have the same requirements as a one-off event running for a few days.
On a construction site, the banner dresses the scaffolding while flagging a work zone, turning a temporarily unsightly space into a genuine advertising display. In town centres, it covers a facade under renovation or advertises on a storage container repurposed as urban signage, a solution increasingly used for its strong visibility in dense areas.
A solid PVC banner delivers intense colour rendering and full opacity, ideal for a standard advertising message on a surface sheltered from the wind. Mesh fabric, perforated at regular intervals, lets some air and light through, making it essential at height or on exposed sites where a solid banner would catch too much wind.
Unlike a standard roller banner or panel, a stand or facade banner is made to measure to the exact dimensions of the surface being covered, from a small accent piece up to very large facades covering dozens of square metres. This dimensional flexibility makes it the go-to display for any project whose measurements don't fit any standard catalogue size.
Metal eyelets, side pockets or corner reinforcements are added depending on the fixing method planned on site: tension straps, a stretched frame or fixing rails. This made-to-measure finishing guarantees the banner holds evenly over time, with no tearing at the anchor points, which remain the most mechanically stressed areas.
Large-format digital printing faithfully reproduces any graphic, logo or photograph across the entire surface of the PVC advertising banner, at a resolution matched to the expected reading distance. On a double-height container display, this ability to customise a whole surface turns a simple storage unit into a genuine urban advertising panel.
For retail facades, sports events, product launches, oversized banners capture attention from impressive distances. Combine with a ground-level advertising stand for complete multi-level communication.
For temporary construction sites and events, printed tarps transform site barriers into advertising media (sponsorships, event communications). Combine with our advertising barriers for a complete setup.
We produce every advertising banner to your exact dimensions, with no fixed format: from 1x2 m for a shop window up to 6x4 m and larger for big-sign façades. The 510 gsm PVC is cut and welded to your precise size, with hemmed edges and eyelets every 30 to 50 cm. For very large surfaces the panels are high-frequency welded to ensure a fully watertight finish. Beyond 6 m² on wind-exposed façades we recommend a perforated mesh banner that lets air pass through.
A UV-treated 510 gsm PVC banner keeps its colours for 2 to 5 years in permanent outdoor use, depending on sun exposure and climate. In full southern sun expect 2 to 3 years before slight fading; in shade or northern exposure 4 to 5 years with no visible ageing. The latex and eco-solvent inks we use withstand UV, rain and frost down to -30 °C. For occasional event use the same banner can be reused dozens of times, provided it is cleaned and stored rolled rather than folded.
A large-format banner is fixed through its crimped metal eyelets spaced every 30 to 50 cm around the perimeter. On a façade use bungee ties, cable ties or nylon cord threaded through each eyelet and anchored to the support. On a tubular frame, hooked elastics deliver even tension without tearing the PVC. For large wind-exposed surfaces choose a micro-perforated mesh banner and double the fixing points at the corners, the most stressed zones. A reinforced hem prevents the eyelets from pulling out under load.
Our banners are printed in high definition up to 1440 dpi on a large-format plotter, in reinforced CMYK four-colour process. The latex and eco-solvent inks bond into the PVC for dense fills, crisp gradients and vivid, UV-resistant colours. The result stays perfectly legible both up close and from several dozen metres on a façade. We faithfully reproduce your brand guidelines and Pantone colours, with a colour check before the run starts. On request a digital proof is sent for sign-off on artwork and text.
Supply a vector file (PDF, AI or EPS) at the banner's actual dimensions, or at 1:10 scale for very large formats. Text must be outlined and colours set in CMYK rather than RGB for faithful reproduction. If you work in raster, aim for 100 to 150 dpi at full size, which is ample for a banner viewed from a distance. Allow a 3 to 5 cm bleed around the artwork for the hem and eyelets. Our studio checks every file free of charge and flags any issue before printing if resolution or colour profile is insufficient.
The price of a custom advertising banner depends mainly on surface area and weight. In 510 gsm PVC with HD print, hems and eyelets included, expect from around ten euros per m² for small formats, with the per-m² rate dropping sharply on large surfaces. A wind-resistant mesh banner or reinforced 680 gsm PVC adds slightly to the price. There are no plate or template fees, and your file stays reusable for identical reprints. Request a precise quote: we price every project to your exact dimensions and chosen finish.
Once your file is approved, an advertising banner is generally printed, hemmed and eyeletted within 3 to 5 working days, delivery included for common formats. For urgent orders an express service in 24 to 48 hours is available on standard PVC banners. Very large formats welded from panels, special finishes or mesh banners may need a few extra days. The lead time starts from proof approval: preparing a compliant file upfront saves valuable time. Contact us to lock in a delivery date that matches your event.
Can't find the answer to your question ?
The decision to invest in a PVC advertising banner rather than a rigid panel or a roller banner arises as soon as the surface to cover exceeds standard sizes, or the supporting structure is irregular, such as scaffolding, a facade under renovation or a shipping container. Its light weight and flexibility let it cover surfaces that no rigid structure could dress as simply, while remaining easy to transport and store once folded down between uses. It's a particularly worthwhile choice for high-visibility temporary operations, a town-centre renovation project, a large-scale event dressing job or urban communication on repurposed street furniture, where a rigid display would be both more costly to transport and harder to adapt to the existing structure.
A stand banner intended for a construction site or a one-off operation can be treated as a limited-use display, with no particular reconditioning requirements once taken down. Conversely, a banner redeployed across several trade shows or events during the year deserves particular care when it's taken down and stored, otherwise sharp creases and accumulated damp marks from one event to the next end up visibly affecting the print quality.
A banner installed facing due south, exposed to UV all day, fades faster than one placed in the partial shade of a building or facing north. This factor, rarely considered when placing an order, directly affects how fresh the message looks over the display's lifetime. For a display on stacked containers, the face most exposed to the sun should ideally carry the least time-sensitive message, keeping the best-protected face for the campaign's main visual.
A properly maintained and stored banner can be used across several successive campaigns with no noticeable loss of visual quality, which fundamentally changes the budget calculation compared with a display built for single use. Treating the banner as a reusable asset rather than a one-off spend encourages careful installation and storage from the very first use, to protect the profitability of the whole set-up over time.
Between two installations, the banner needs to be cleaned with clear water and fully dried before being folded, otherwise trapped moisture encourages mould that permanently stains the fabric. The folding itself deserves particular care: consistently folding along the same lines avoids sharp creases that remain visible once the banner is stretched back onto its next support.
Planning for these factors at the design stage, rather than at installation, delivers a large-format display that keeps its visual impact for the full length of the campaign, whether that's a few days or a display redeployed several times over the year.
