The number indicates the width of the aluminum profile which surrounds the poster. The 32 mm profile, wider and more rigid, is preferred for high traffic areas, very large formats (A1, A0) and locations with high visual impact such as exterior windows. Opening is done by grabbing one side of the profile and gently pulling towards you: a discreet click signals release. Avoid sharp blows or brutal pulls which can ultimately deform the internal spring. Proceed methodically: first open the two horizontal sides, then the two vertical sides. Slide your new poster behind the protective plate, then close the profiles by folding them down one by one. With a little practice, completely changing an A2 poster takes less than 30 seconds.

Standard clic-clac frames are designed for indoor use. For an exterior display (accessible window on the street side, facade, bus shelter, etc.), it is essential to choose an IP54 waterproof model or higher, equipped with peripheral seals and a key lock. A quality clic-clac frame supports several thousand opening-closing cycles without loss of tension. In current use (weekly change), expect a minimum lifespan of 10 to 15 years. The main causes of failure are rough handling and misuse of the frame as a parasitic fixing support. For a local store window, the A2 format (42 x 59.4 cm) is the most versatile standard: it offers good readability from the sidewalk while remaining economical for frequent changes. For large shopping center windows or retail brands, upgrade with an A1 (59.4 x 84.1 cm) or A0 (84.1 x 118.9 cm) format to capture attention from a longer distance. The rule of thumb: multiply the width of the smallest character in cm by 200 to obtain the maximum reading distance in cm.
