Prepare Your Logo File for Strap Printing: The Complete Guide

A great belt result starts with a good file. A blurry, low-resolution or poorly-defined logo gives a disappointing print — whatever the machine quality. This guide complements our feature on the custom belt stanchion by detailing how to prepare a print-ready file.

Accepted file formats

Vector (recommended)

AI, EPS or SVG. The ideal format: the logo stays sharp at any size, no pixelation. Always prefer this.

High-resolution PDF

A vector or 300 dpi PDF is accepted. Ensure fonts are outlined (converted to curves) to avoid substitution.

Avoid: JPEG / PNG

Compressed raster images (screenshots, web JPEGs) give blurry results and visible artefacts. Avoid.

The 6 golden rules

Always vector

Vector guarantees sharpness at any scale. Ask your designer for it.

Outlined fonts

Convert text to curves. Otherwise a missing font is auto-replaced and the result changes.

Pantone colours

Provide exact Pantone codes, never RGB. Screen RGB does not reproduce faithfully in print.

Safety margin

Leave a margin around the logo so it is not cut at the belt edge.

Sufficient contrast

Check the logo stands out on the belt colour. A dark logo on black is invisible.

High definition

If you can only supply raster, require 300 dpi at actual print size.

The process, step by step

1. Send the file

Send your vector file + Pantone codes. State belt width (35 or 50 mm) and background colour.

2. Technical check

Our team checks quality, fonts, colours and feasibility. We flag any issue.

3. Proof approval

You receive a digital proof at real dimensions. Nothing is printed without written sign-off.

4. Production

10-15 days after proof approval, then delivery. Minimum 10 pieces.

Pre-send checklist: vector file (AI/EPS/SVG) - outlined fonts - Pantone colours - logo legible on the chosen belt colour. With these 4 validated, your order moves forward without back-and-forth.
