The compliance of the safety signage of your establishment is a legal obligation but also an operational issue for the protection of people. A few simple rules allow you to have a truly effective and compliant device.
First principle: carry out a complete preliminary audit. Identify all the risks present in your establishment (electrical, mechanical, chemical, fire, falls, slips), all mandatory PPE depending on the workstations, all evacuation zones and their routes. This systematic inventory is the basis of a complete and coherent system. For complex establishments, be accompanied by a qualified prevention officer or IPRP.
Second principle: respect standardized color codes and pictograms. The regulations impose precise codes: red for prohibitions, blue for obligations, yellow for warnings, green for rescue. Pictograms must follow the ISO 7010 standard to be universally understood, including by foreign visitors who do not speak the local language. Avoid fanciful or non-standardized pictograms which can generate dangerous confusion.
