The weight of the base depends on the height of the banner and its exposure to the wind. For a banner of 2 to 3 meters indoors, a base of 8 to 12 kg is sufficient. For an outdoor banner of 3 to 5 meters, count on 15 to 25 kg to withstand gusts of up to 40 km/h. For very exposed locations (seaside car park, windy place), a base of 30 kg or more is recommended. Water or sand bases are preferable to solid metal bases: lighter for transport, more stable once filled.
